Environmental Management System (TS EN ISO 14001)

TS EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management SystemOur company is one of the first co-signers of the Responsible Care® Commitment, which was started by the Turkish Chemical Manufacturers Association in 1993, and our actions to improve the environment, health and safety have continuously increased ever since.

Our Environmental Management System, which has been certified by TSE in 1998, enables us to select targets and implement actions for sustainable improvement, in order to protect the environment for today and tomorrow.

In 1998, our company was the first company in the Hoechst Group (our parent company at the time) globally to receive the TS EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certification, and was honored by our parent company with a “Performance Award” in recognition of our outstanding achievements in environmental, health and safety measures.

The certificates and recognitions we have received for environmental management applications since 1993 bear witness to the fact that we have been heading down the right path in terms of being an environmentally-friendly company.


Our company, engaged in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals for national and international markets adheres to Responsible Care, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and TS 18001 ISG-OHSAS Occupational Health and Safety Management standards and in line with these regulations:

1. Risks and opportunities which influence environment and human health are determined in a proactive manner by evaluating the environmental risks with regards to production and other activities.

2. Amplification of environmental opportunities to a higher level and prevention of negative effects by early detection is aimed by means of risk evaluation.

3. Studies are performed for efficient use of natural resources and energy with giving priority to environmentally friendly technologies in the manufacturing processes. For new projects, as well as well for process development studies, impacts on environment and occupational health are evaluated.

4. Waste, originating from manufacturing and other activities is minimized at source, recycled or treated in accordance with legal regulations.

5. Within the scope of occupational health and safety implementations, potential hazards to the health of employees are assessed and related risk analyses are performed to assure the highest level of protection through measures taken at source.

6. Necessary measures are planned and implemented to ensure that in case of an accident or emergency during operations, potential damage to environment and human health is kept at the lowest level.

7. Environmental, Health and Safety related training and education is periodically given to increase employees’ awareness and personal responsibility.

8. All stakeholders are informed regarding matters of environment, health and safety thereby contributing to environment, health and safety awareness in scope of corporate social responsibility in collaboration with universities and non-governmental organizations.

As we look out for sustainable utilization of natural resources, we take the legislative regulations and expectations of related parties in terms of protecting environment and human health as the minimum requirement and we hereby declare that we will;   

- Periodically review our Environment, Health and Safety policy,

- Measure the performance of our implementations and continuously improve our integrated management system through the contribution of all stakeholders and the allocation of necessary resources,

- Make our Environment, Health and Safety policy available to the internal and external correspondence.
