Explanation Regarding The Eid Al-Fitr Holiday Dates In The PharmaVision Calendar

 To our friends:

As you know; we have been sending to you our PharmaVision calendars, which have been offered since 2004, during the month of November of the previous year. To that end our preparations start in June and the calendars are submitted to the publisher in October. We collect the “Official Holiday Dates” for each calendar year, including the year 2019, from official sources.

According to this, Eid al-Fitr holiday, which marks the end of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting, was shown on Tuesday June 4th (½ day, Eve of Eid al-Fitr holiday), Wednesday June 5th (Eid al-Fitr holiday Day 1), Thursday June 6th (Eid al-Fitr holiday Day 2) and Friday June 7th (Eid al-Fitr holiday Day 3).

However, in a statement made by the Presidency of Religious Affairs in December 2018, the following information was shared: “Our Presidency has made some amendments in some Islamic months due to the decisions taken at the International Congress of Hijri Calendar Association. Eid al-Fitr holiday date is one of the amended dates. The first day of Shawwal 1440 was updated as June 4th, 2019.”

Thus, the Eid al-Fitr holidays have been advanced by 1 day starting with the Eve:

Monday June 3rd (½ day, Eve of Eid al-Fitr holiday),
Tuesday June 4th (Eid al-Fitr holiday Day 1),
Wednesday June 5th (Eid al-Fitr holiday Day 2),
Thursday June 6th (Eid al-Fitr holiday Day 3).

For your kind attention, best regards,
